Converting Clara

Autumn, 2010

When their baby was born before new mother Jennifer Grossman finished her own conversion to Judaism, she and her husband, Ricky, decided their daughter should have a conversion. Though recognized as Jewish by the Reform movement, the Grossmans wanted their daughter to be recognized as Jewish by as many of the Jewish denominations as possible. The following video shows their decision process, family involvement, and the ritual immersion at the Mayyim Hayyim mikvah as their baby daughter became a Jew.
